D.W. Flips is the second part of the 16th episode of Arthur Season 1. It aired with Arthur and the Crunch Cereal Contest on January 6 1997.
Summary[]
D.W. wants to take gymnastics class after seeing a gymnast on television, but her mom gives several examples of D.W. never finishing what she wants to do. She gets her way and goes to her first class. Emily is there and D.W. does not like her because she seems to do everything perfectly. D.W. is determined to be better than her. At the end of the episode, Emily and D.W become best friends.
